COMELEC targets 3 million first time voters, mostly from the youth sector, to register before COMELEC registration closes this October 31, 2015.

Various organizations, including the First Time Voters Network, share the target of youth inclusion in the electoral process. The First Time Voters Network (FTVN) has been at the forefront in enticing the First Time Voters to register and exercise the right to suffrage.

Since its launch in 2001, FTVN has significantly changed the political landscape as more young people become oriented about their role in the electoral process.

The Pinag-isang Lakas ng Samahan ng mga Progresibong Atenista (PIGLASAPAT), recognizing its core principle of Participatory Democracy, recently partnered with the First Time Voters Network (FTVN) to drive youth participation in the coming National Elections.

In the Facebook account of PIGLASAPAT, it stated that the partnership aims for the empowerment and education of the youth in the coming National Elections.

The fruition of this partnership shall be materialized in the coming months.
