According to the 2015 Edition of the Ateneo de Davao University Student Handbook, the Jesuit Mission Award is given to a graduate who exemplifies the virtue of faith that does justice, which is integral to the advancement of interreligious and intercultural dialogue.

This year, the Jesuit Mission Award was conferred on Dexter Jake Villarosa, a BS Chemical Engineering graduate.

Villarosa served the student body as the SAMAHAN Central Board’s Secretary-General this academic year, and was the Former Chairperson of the General Assembly of Class Presidents (GACP), which he was a part of since his first year in college.

He also represented the Philippines during the World Culture Forum 2016 held in Bali, Indonesia, and was delegated to the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) 2016 Economics Batch 7: Energy.

Villarosa’s passion for genuine service and promotion of various advocacies inside and outside the University have earned him the title of Jesuit Mission Awardee.

Congratulations, Dexter! Your success is yet another testament that PIGLASAPAT leadership thrives not only in the local scene, but in the international frontier as well.

Keep the fire burning!
